The Australian Youth Community ServiceHub Integration Incorporated (AYCSII ) aims to reach a specific group within the community, focusing on:

African-Australian Youth:

  1. Post-Imprisonment: Youth transitioning back into society after imprisonment, aiming to support their successful reintegration.
  2. Vulnerable Backgrounds: African immigrants who are facing socio-economic challenges, including limited access to resources, education, and employment opportunities.
  3. Socially Disadvantaged: Youth dealing with systemic issues, such as racial biases and societal stigmas impacting their ability to reintegrate effectively.

Key Characteristics:

  1. Ages 15-24 AND 25-30 Targeting young adults within this age bracket facing challenges related to post-imprisonment and community reintegration.
  2. Seeking Empowerment: Individuals seeking support in employment, education, mental health, and community engagement to build a positive future.
  3. Diverse Backgrounds: Representing diverse African backgrounds, cultures, and experiences, recognizing the uniqueness of each individual

Their Needs:

  1. Employment Support: Seeking guidance and resources for job readiness, resume building, and skill development for meaningful employment.
  2. Rehabilitation: Needing counseling, mentorship, and rehabilitation programs to address emotional, mental health, and reintegration challenges.
  3. Community Connection:  Craving a sense of belonging, and wanting to engage in positive community activities and cultural programs.

Goals for Engagement:

  1. Successful Reintegration: Supporting their journey towards becoming productive, law-abiding members of society post-release.
  2. Empowerment and Growth: Providing opportunities for personal growth, skill development, and educational advancement.
  3. Civic Engagement: Encouraging involvement in community initiatives, fostering a sense of responsibility and active citizenship.
